Primary Research Blog

Hello again readers πŸ˜„, we are on to the part of the blog where you'll see the feedback of people on the current crisis of cyberattacks. This data is essential cause it allows me to collect data from individuals directly that have experienced cyberthreats. By conducting such surveys, I can a unique insight into the most prevalent attack techniques πŸ’€ and ensures I have specific and current cyberattack trends from the people who have experienced it.

Below is the link to the google form I made for several questions relating to the topic in question "Cyberattack".

Google form Link

So, you may ask. How did I ask my questions and to who did I ask them to ? πŸ˜•. I asked them based on the idea of the forms through which cyberattacks occur and I approached a random bunch of 10 students. As you can see below, these are 2 examples of some basic questions that were asked.

The above question brings room for controversial beliefs 😠, as people have varying insights based on their different experiences with cyberattacks and below is a second question that was asked to every single individual.

Understanding public opinions on cyberthreats is very important and to gather relevant such information required a structured questionnaire which prompted me to make use of google forms. Here's how to make a good google form 😏:
1. On your personal device, you go to forms.google.com and select the blank form option
2. You put down the title of your Google form
3. Finally, you press the + button to insert your questions and make use of the multiple choice option and list down your answers. They should be made in the checkbox format to ensure diversity.

Moving on, below will be a plethora of pictures which contain all the questions which were asked in our survey and I will be giving a brief conclusion to every single question.

1.

This first question was asked to see if measures could be put in place to prevent cyberattacks and half of the students chose yes which meant that based on their experiences 5 saw that it could be stopped while 4 students chose maybe which meant that they were uncertain and only one chose that it could not be stopped.

2.

Even I πŸ˜‚ would pick the majority answer here which 5 students picked that cyberattacks are very common especially in modern times as opposed to the 3 and 2 students which chose otherwise.

3.

The response on this question was rather slightly more equal than the first 2 ones as people here were mostly on either side of the fence on either having a good password or not whilst just 2 students said they change it sometimes.

4.

From this question, we can clearly tell that most people have been victims of cyberattacks as 7 out of 10 students said that they have been victims which is quite sad and shows how unsafe society has become 😭.

5.

This question got quite an equal response as 40% of students said they use public WIFI's for online activities which is not too advisable especially if you're getting sensitive information online which is why VPN's are recommended. What do you think 😬 ?.

6.

6 out of 10 students said that they would trust their close ones with their personal details. This response comes down to the trust they have for their loved ones and no one should be blamed 😀for not trusting family with their delicate information. Only 3 students trust their family members which such details which is quite alarming but hey, who are we to judge πŸ˜“.

7.

In the questionnaire above, 60% of students said that they change their passwords thrice or more in a year which is quite alarming, who knew that cyberthreats had become more rampant of recent. 10% chose once and 30% chose twice which is normal to me, what about you ?

8.

I needed to know the average age of people I was giving my surveys too and most of the votes came in the range of 18-25 which was mostly expected as my questions were directed to students only and just 30% of it got to minors and 10% to a middle aged person. But, it was rather beneficial as it's mostly the young folk that understand modern cyberthreats better.

9.

Just 4 students were not too certain or had not received a suspicious message before as the majority of the votes which carried 6 students said that they had received a suspicious message πŸ‘€. Now onto the final question.

10.

The last question that was asked was if the students had a basic knowledge of cyberattack and 40% of them said they had full knowledge of it, 30% said that they had never heard of it while another 30% said that they have a miniscule knowledge on the topic in question.

Conclusion:
So, from the above information acquired it is noticeable that majority of the responses collected showed the awareness of cyber attacks and how each and every single one of them has responded to it in their different situations.
